Deprived Interest Group

(D.I.G)

A group of health care professional's in Edinburgh, who meet together to look at the issues involved in providing quality primary care in situations of multiple deprivation and at supporting the GP's and others working in these settings.

In July 1999 the post of Health Inequalities Facilitator was created on a temporary basis using funds from the Primary Care Development Fund. The funding has now been continued Lothian Primary Care trust.

Primary objectives
